Evoked potentials and performance of 19 learning disabled (LD) and 19 normally achieving children (8 to 15 years old) were studied in two versions of the Continuous Performance Test (CPT). Among results of a survey of teacher education programs in California was that a large majority felt that it is important to train teachers to work with exceptional adults. Only 52.9 percent of the institutions offered some training in this area, while 17.6 percent offered a complete course of studies in the area. (CL)

A predictor set was developed consisting of mother's democratic attitudes, child's temperament, and amount of child's time spent outside the home that allowed for correct prediction of 75 percent of the children, with an overall miss rate of 20 percent and a false positive rate of 29.6 percent.
