One hundred fifth- and sixth-grade students rated slides of male children of the same age wearing various hearing aids, glasses, or no aid. Children gave poorer ratings to peers wearing hearing aids. Results suggested that normal-hearing children may need to be "educated" prior to hearing-impaired children entering their classroom. (Author/CL)

Thirty-seven sixth graders were assigned to one of two computer-based treatments to learn four propaganda concepts. In both treatments, students were allowed to choose additional instruction; however, one group received general statements of encouragement to choose additional instruction. Results are presented. The development of intermediate grade children's knowledge of structural features and content of stories was examined from a longitudinal perspective.
