Salisbury, Christine L. – American Journal on Mental Retardation, 1989
The construct validity of the adapted version of the "Questionnaire on Resources and Stress-Short Form" was examined with 103 mothers of children with mild to severe developmental disabilities, aged 0-38. Allen, David; Nora, Amaury – Research in Higher Education, 1995
In a study of the construct validity of goal commitment in college student persistence, goal commitment was decomposed into multiple indicators of the same latent construct. Predictive validity of each subcomponent on different outcomes related to persistence was established. Only one factor was found to have a significant direct effect on student…

Watkins, David; Regmi, Murari – Assessment & Evaluation in Higher Education, 1995
A study analyzed constructs surrounding 45 Nepalese master's students' approaches to and conceptions of learning. Interviews indicated that few students had more than a low level of insight into their learning processes, most used surface learning strategies, and most achieved low-level learning outcomes. Findings cast doubt on the construct…

Marsh, Herbert W.; And Others – Multivariate Behavioral Research, 1992
Results of a reanalysis of previously published data (B. M. Byrne, 1989) support the correlated uniqueness model, diagnostic tests of the validity of confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), multitrait multimethod (MTMM) solutions, inclusion of external validity in MTMM design, and application of factorial invariance to test stability of CFA-MTMM…
