Chemical and Engineering News, 1984
Findings from an American Chemical Society survey show that the pessimism that characterized the job market in 1983 has given way to a much brighter outlook as employers hire more chemists and chemical engineers. A survey of 259 state agencies, private nonprofit agencies, and residential schools for the blind determined, among other findings, that in 1981 there were twice as many budgeted vacancies for rehabilitation teachers as graduates of university training programs, and that projections to 1990 show a growing demand for services.
