Zinn, Maxine Baca – Journal of Ethnic Studies, 1982
The assumption that male dominance among Chicanos is exclusively a cultural phenomenon is contradicted by much evidence. A disturbing relationship exists between stratification axes of race, sex, and class; to the extent that social inequality limits men's access to resources, it also contributes to sexual stratification.
