The New Distance Learning Instructor: A Miniguide for Those Never Previously Teaching Online
Sull, Errol Craig
Distance Learning, v20 n2 p25-29 2023
As distance learning continues to grow, ads continually appear seeking instructors to teach online. Many have experience teaching online, yet some also apply who have a solid education and great experience in a specific field--but have never taught online. This latter group of potential online instructors should not be dismissed merely because they have no online teaching experience. Indeed, every online instructor had a first-time experience teaching through a computer. Yet to be sure this never-taught-online instructor grows into a strong school asset there are several guidelines that should be followed. These suggestions will help this new-to-distance-learning person become a valuable teacher.
