Administered the Career Maturity Inventory to 159 college students. Path anlaysis suggested that career attitudes matured with age and directly affected months employed during college and grade point average and, through the mediation of GPA, affected the occupational level of the students' jobs. Invesstigated relationships between intrinsic and extrinsic work values and career maturity for ninth- and eleventh-grade boys (N=402) and girls (N=483). Results revealed that sex differences in work values and career maturity were found to a greater extent than were grade differences. Implications for counselors are discussed. (Author/NB)
