This final report documents the achievements of the State of Georgia Department of Education Speech-Language Pathology Assessment Project (SPAP), which examined competencies needed by school speech-language pathologists and developed the Speech-Language Pathology Assessment Instrument (SPAI) to assess those competencies. Trainees, instructed in SPAI data collection, assessed competencies of speech-language pathologists (SLPs) during a therapy session. Other project activities concerned SLP certification and efforts to revise the SPAI. Appendixes, which make up the bulk of the report, include information on the traininig conference and on minimum performance levels for certification. (CL)
