Julia Brochey-Taylor; Joseph A. Taylor – Educational Research and Reviews, 2024
The purpose of this synthesis study was to assess the reliability and validity of the Draw-A-Scientist Test (DAST) and its variations across multiple studies, aiming to understand limitations and propose modifications for future application within and beyond the science domain. Given the existence of multiple DAST versions, this study quantified…

Alkis Küçükaydin, Mensure; Esen, Seher – International Journal of Science Education, 2023
The Draw-A Scientist Test (DAST) has been used for many years as a data collection tool in studies where the image of the scientist is attempted to be determined. In this test, in which the image of scientist is attempted to be revealed with drawings, the drawings are analyzed using a coding ruler or checklist. However, the DAST has been…

Retest Reliability of the Rosenzweig Picture-Frustration Study and Similar Semiprojective Techniques

Rosenzweig, Saul; And Others – Journal of Personality Assessment, 1975
The research dealing with the reliability of the Rosenzweig Picture-Frustration Study is surveyed. Analysis of various split-half, and retest procedures are reviewed and their relative effectiveness evaluated. Reliability measures as applied to projective techniques in general are discussed. (Author/DEP)

Rosenzweig, Saul – Journal of Personality Assessment, 1978
Data are presented on the retest and split-half reliability of the Rosenzweig Picture-Frustration (P-F) Study, Children's Form, for two groups of subjects (aged 10-11 and 12-13), each group tested twice at an interval of three months. Reliability by retest was consistently higher than by the split-half method. (Author/CTM)

Ray, John J. – Journal of Personality Assessment, 1974
The reliability of measures of need for achievement can be improved by increasing the number of items and by using different scoring systems and stimulus materials. (MLP)

Holmes, David S. – Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1974
Concludes that individuals can consciously introduce false projections while inhibiting true projections, thus affecting the theory of projection and the use of projective techniques for personality assessment. Since projective responses are subject to conscious control and distortion they are not reliable. (Author/EK)

Wilmoth, Gregory H.; McFarland, Sam G. – 1976
Kohlberg's Moral Judgment Scale, Gilligan, et al.'s Sexual Moral Judgment Scale, Maitland and Goldman's Objective Moral Judgment Scale, and Hogan's Maturity of Moral Judgment Scale were examined for reliability and inter-scale relationships. All measures except the Objective Moral Judgment Scale had good reliabilities. The obtained relations…

Vestewig, Richard E.; Paradise, Carol A. – Journal of Personality Assessment, 1977
Achievement motivation was successfully measured among male and female college students by having the students rate eight Thematic Apperception Test cards for similarity and scaling the results in two dimensions: number of persons and degree of strong affect. The Rorschach Inkblot Test was not effective in determining need for achievement. (CTM)

Ouellette, Sue E. – American Annals of the Deaf, 1988
The reliability and validity of using the drawings of the House-Tree-Person technique to assess the personality of prelingually deaf persons was evaluated with 33 deaf young adults. Interrater reliability was established for four scales and validity established for five personality traits (aggression, impulsivity, immaturity, egocentricity, and…

Tuma, June M.; McCraw, Ronald K. – Journal of Personality Assessment, 1975
Rorschach test protocols for a matched sample of male and female subjects, in the child and adolescent range, were scored for total responses. The data was analyzed for evidence of interactions between sex of experimenter and sex and age of subject. (Author/BJG)
