Journal on Excellence in College Teaching, v34 n3 p9-38 2023
The authors' research develops new understanding of undergraduate student engagement as a product of the flipped classroom learning model. Using a mixed-methods approach, 408 undergraduate students were surveyed and 18 interviewed across marketing, mathematics, nursing, and education majors. The motivating goals of this research were to identify differing approaches to the implementation of a flipped classroom across disciplines as well as to identify the student and faculty perspectives of these flipped models of learning.
