Jr. R. J. Shaughnessy
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, Concordia University Chicago
Women are increasingly being hired as online adjunct faculty, so it is important to examine the different indicators that contribute to their overall job satisfaction. The purpose of this quantitative study is to examine the relationships between female online adjunct faculty's perceptions of job satisfaction and supervisor leadership style at colleges and universities in the United States. A quantitative methodology was used for this study. The required sample size of participants was 121. Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire 5x (MLQ; Avolio & Bass, 2004) and Spector's Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS; Spector, 2007). The results of the ANOVA indicated there were significant differences between the subscales of job satisfaction and leadership styles.
