This factsheet provides provisional information on the incidence of apprenticeships in England using information between 2010/11 and 2014/15 from the Individualised Learner Record (ILR) and Employer Data Service (EDS) further matched to the Inter-Departmental Business Register (IDBR). Specifically, it presents the number of apprenticeship starts and participation by Standard Industrial Classification of economic activities (SIC) 20071, enterprise employment size band, Government Office Region (GOR), apprenticeship level, legal status of enterprise, age group of apprentice and gender. The geographical information refers to the delivery location, while the information on sector of activity refers to the enterprise. Twelve tables are appended.
