This post-high school curriculum guide was prepared to assist junior and community colleges, vocational schools, and area schools in initiating programs in child care and guidance. The guide will be helpful in planning both 1- and 2-year programs aimed at recent high school graduates and young adults. Graduates of these child care programs will be ready to work in day care centers, nursery schools, kindergartens, and child development centers. A glossary, a bibliography of books and films, suggested course outlines, and a list of needed equipment accompany the many sections which include (1) program objectives, (2) advisory committee, (3) staff needs, (4) student recruitment, (5) curriculum, (6) evaluation of student progress, (7) establishing a laboratory nursery school, and (8) follow-up activities.
