A Study on the Whole Parent Education for the Formation of Children's Belief
Eunjeong Cheon
ProQuest LLC, D.Ed.Min. Dissertation, Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
The purpose of this project is to develop a holistic parent education program that establishes the parent's faith identity and empowers their spiritual practice that will lead to the child's spiritual formation. In the twelve-week program, parent-participants establish their own identity in faith to check and strengthen their competencies in their child's faith education. This program is found on the biblical principle that a parent's mission is to educate their children's faith. The researcher also applies quantitative analysis methods, participatory observations, and individual in-depth interviews to objectively examine and review whether the project works. Through project analysis, it was concluded that holistic parent education is a useful tool to form children's faith at home.
