Bullock, Janis R. – Child Study Journal, 1988

Measures of peer acceptance and peers' social reputation were administered to 8 and 10 year olds in Shanghai, China, and Ontario, Canada. Benenson, Joyce; Apostoleris, Nicholas; Parnass, Jodi – New Directions for Child Development, 1998
Uses a sociometric analysis to explore the differential organization of boys' and girls' peer groups. Carter, Bernardita Yarur – 1977
This study determined the sociometric status of "referred" children (with emotional and/or learning problems) and "stable" children enrolled in a mainstreamed preschool program in an effort to determine whether mainstreaming affects the social interaction among preschoolers functioning at different developmental levels. Two separate experiments…

Gresham, Frank M.; Reschly, Daniel J. – Journal of Educational Psychology, 1987
Sociometric differences between mainstreamed mildly handicapped and nonhandicapped Black and White students were investigated in a factorial design by using three indexes of peer acceptance. French, Doran C. – Child Development, 1988
Cluster analyses were employed in two studies to explore the possibility of discernible subtypes within the population of peer-rejected boys aged 9-11. Consistent patterns were seen in both studies when children in each cluster were compared with each other and with those in a popular comparison group. (RJC)
