Reviews trends in adolescent pregnancy and changes in social attitudes which have influenced the tendency for teenage mothers to keep their babies. Ways of supporting adolescent parents in the school and community are discussed. Suggests that exposing adolescents to reality might be a useful deterrent. (JAC)
