Teachers' ratings of elementary- and secondary-level hearing impaired students in Denmark (N=289) and the United States (N=732) were collected and compared; results showed that scores on the Meadow/Kendall Social Emotional Inventory subscales (social adjustment, emotional adjustment, self-image) were almost identical. Examined the effects of communication skills training on adjustment to divorce and separation among women. Results indicated that the experimental group significantly increased in overall divorce adjustment and in empathy skills.
