This paper investigates the effect of multiage groupings on children's self concepts, their attitudes toward school, and their academic achievement in reading and mathematics. Postsession written responses of six female clients in intensive short-term counseling were examined using qualitative analyses. At the end of each counseling session, clients described the most important event in the session and their feelings about it.
