Pearson product-moment correlations were computed for selected subtests of The Gesell Developmental Test and The Meeting Street School Screening Test. The selected subtests are moderately correlated, suggesting that either test might be used in a battery. (Author)

Reynolds, Cecil R. – Contemporary Educational Psychology, 1978
Primary school children were administered the Draw-A-Design and Draw-A Child subtests of the McCarthy Scales of Children's Abilities in a group setting. Results suggest that the McCarthy drawing tests may be administered validly in a group format, and that these scores are significantly related to school achievement. (Author/BW)

Bondy, Andrew S.; And Others – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1982
A comparison was made between the Slosson Intelligence Test and the McCarthy Scales of Children's Abilities for 44 minority preschoolers. The mean Slosson score was 13.8 points higher than the mean McCarthy score. The correlation between the scores was .81. Effects of inflated Slosson scores for screening purposes are considered. Nichta, Lawrence J., Jr.; And Others – Psychology in the Schools, 1982
Evaluated the Screening Test of Academic Readiness (STAR) using a sample of 28 third graders. The third graders' scores on the Peabody Individual Achievement Test were correlated with their total STAR scores from prekindergarten testing. Results showed the STAR is a useful instrument for predicting third grade achievement. (Author/JAC)

Relationships between performance on two preschool administrations of the Metropolitan Readiness Tests (MRT) and Stanford Achievement Test (SAT) scores at age nine were examined for a sample of 732 children.
