Emphasis of program is rural development. The main organizing responsibility will be held by the primary school, which will become a community educational center, thus providing a focal point for total educational needs. (MS)

Focus is on the Agro-Industrial Polytechnic that provides training for self-employment and agro-industrial employment. Its approach is an evolving one directed to the rural population. (EA)

Adult education in Kenya is mainly concerned with dissemination of technology and ideas to rural production units to increase awareness and innovativeness.
