A random sampling of 398 heads of households was selected from eight community center areas out of a total of 1,136. Three hundred eighty-four of this group were interviewed. Two hundred fifty-seven of those interviewed claimed to be acquainted with the CAP, and 127 claimed not to be, while 14 refused to be interviewed. Findings indicate that the "image" held by heads of households regarding the purposes of CAP were not very clear. Some one-fourth of those interviewed and identified as being acquainted with CAP had no opinion regarding purposes. Similarly, the "image" held of the progress being made by the program was also revealed as rather hazy. (author/eb)
