#RedFlag is designed to help students understand relational dissolution at the theoretical and applied level by identifying red- and green-flag communicative behaviors during relational dissolution and by role-playing relational dissolution situations for various relationship types. Courses: Interpersonal Communication, Relational Communication, and Basic Communication Courses. Objectives: By completing this activity, students should be able to (1) understand relational dissolution at a theoretical and applied level; (2) understand the importance of effective communication, active listening skills, assertiveness, and the ability to express thoughts or feelings without blame; and (3) identify constructive and destructive communication behaviors that can occur during relationship dissolution.
