This report of the activities of Project MEDIA, the Illinois State-Wide Facilitator for the National Diffusion Network, includes a description of the diffusion and facilitation process in the state, the numbers and types of requests for information and assistance from the project, the impact of Project MEDIA on local education agencies (LEAs) in the state, the cost-effectiveness of diffusion in Illinois, and lists of LEA's adopting Developer/Demonstrator (D/D) projects and the programs adopted. A case study of the adoption of three D/D projects by the Rockford School District provides examples of the facilitation and adoption processes, and illustrates three different ways in which a State-Wide Facilitator can be of service to a district.
