This manual is designed to introduce educators to the basic issues in the implementation of a program for high school seniors featuring such options as elective minicourses, independent study opportunities, involvement of the student in community activities, and work-study programs. As created in Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School in New Jersey, the program makes use of open space teaching and the open campus concept. The manual briefly discusses needs assessment, planning, community involvement, and scheduling procedures as they apply to the program and describes project components and a few resource materials.
