An audio-cassette continuing education course (Selected Topics in Pharmacology) from Extension Services in Pharmacy at the University of Wisconsin was offered to a selected test market of pharmacists and evaluated using a pre-, post-test design. Evaluative studies of experiential education in pharmacy are reviewed, and a holistic approach to evaluation, including a model, is presented.
