Shores, Elizabeth – Change, 1979
Two remedial, basic skills programs at two predominately Black colleges-- Miles College in Birmingham, Alabama, and Tougaloo College in Mississippi--are compared by Tougaloo composition teacher John Monro, formerly a dean at Harvard.
