This dissertation explores the field of deaf interpreting and discusses essential issues, including career barriers, mentorship, and certification. It looks at the tenacity and willpower of deaf interpreters, emphasizing the reasons and networks of support that have allowed them to work for a long time. Studies demonstrate the valuable role deaf interpreters play in fostering understanding among deaf people by applying their unique linguistic and cultural abilities. The research utilizes a narrative inquiry of personal narratives and thematic analysis to understand the interpreters' professions. One significant outcome is the need for mentorship and training programs tailored to the requirements of deaf interpreters. Another outcome recommends revising present training procedures to address the diverse skills and expertise required in this field. The study emphasizes the need for deaf interpreters to flourish in a professional setting that is encouraging and supportive, and it advocates for their acknowledgment and assistance.
