A self-instruction manual to develop a production supervisory strategy (PSS) was examined as an aid for supervisors of 80 retarded persons in sheltered work settings. Average hourly production increased for 77 clients under PSS compared to baseline, with an average increase of 68 percent. Error rates were not affected. (Author/CL)
