In this paper the results of a longitudinal study of the two years following divorce are presented. Divorced parents (N=48) and their preschool child and a matched group of 48 intact families were studied following divorce. The process of disruption, coping and adjustment by fathers is examined. Examined marital and child factors in predicting divorce potential and divorce occurrence. Participants included 140 adolescents and their parents.
