A study of 77 sixth-graders indicated that sociomoral reasoning correlated with both socialized and unsocialized aggressive behaviors, but not with attention problems, anxiety-withdrawal, or motor tension without aggression. A relationship between maturity of sociomoral reasoning and self-reported antisocial behavior was found among boys only. (RH)

Examined the adjustment of boys from intact, single-mother, stepfather, and multiple-transition families. Boys who had experienced multiple transitions showed the poorest adjustment. The antisocial mother was most at risk for transitions and unskilled parenting practices, which in turn placed her son at risk for poor adjustment. (BC)
