This is a description of the materials developed for the language laboratory of the Ecole de Francais Moderne at the University of Lausanne. The tapes are designed to deal specifically with French phonetics, grammar, and lexicon. (AM)

Report of a group project in German designed to increase students' aural-oral skills: Borchert's short story "Das Brot" was read and rewritten as a radio play and the results were recorded. Reading and writing skills were employed, extensive oral practice was possible, and tapes were used. (SCC)

Discusses the use of two-way amateur radio contacts in language courses to provide personal contact with speakers of the target language.
