The course outlined is the second of two designed to help a trainee acquire the knowledge and become proficient in the skills associated with the overhaul, inspection, and repair of reciprocating engines. The knowledge and skills are necessary to pass the Powerplant Theory and Maintenence section of the Federal Aviation Administration examination for the powerplant mechanic's license. The course is composed of one block of several units requiring one quinmester of 135 hours. Seven pages of course outline are followed by five pages of specific behavioral objectives; a posttest is appended.
