A Career Development Worktext for Junior High School Students.
Williams, Grace
The worktext was developed, as part of Project SPAN (Start Planning Ahead Now), for the use of junior high school students. Its purpose is to help them assess their personal attributes and qualities and understand how they relate to future employability and how they can help in the selection of vocational goals. Emphasis is placed on the development of personal traits. It presents factual pre-occupational information and provides activities that will aid the students in evaluating themselves. The latter part of the worktext provides some information and practice activities that the student, as a future job hunter, should begin to learn: securing a social security card, filling out an application form, and how to respond during an interview.
