This is a set consisting of primer and workbook which provides an introduction to basic geographic concepts and principles for the upper intermediate grade child. Its objectives are to assist the student in understanding the order and logic of his physical environment and its interaction with human society. There are opportunities for understanding the physical arrangement of community institutions, determining traffic patterns, relating time and distance, and seeing physical features in their relation to weather and social use. Hence, a conceptual basis is provided for expectations and evaluations of the human environment. Inductive and deductive methods, simulated situations, illustrations, and games are employed.
