The Illinois Resources File (IRF) will be a data base with both manual and automated retrieval capabilities and will be compatible with ERIC. Indexing and abstracting will be done according to the "ERIC Theraurus" and the "ERIC Processing Manual" until an Illinois Processing Manual is developed; the planned completion date is May 31, 1978. The Human Resources File (HRF) will be developed and maintained separately from the IRF because of potential legal and political difficulties. Details of the indexing and abstracting procedures for the systems are outlined. Other procedures described include staff training and duties, accession and processing of documents, and manual and automated retrieval of information. Sample resume forms are included. (JAB)
