To examine how group-relevant personality traits relate to student perceptions of their own involvement, 57 students taking introductory educational psychology at Temple University (Pennsylvania) were given a two-week treatment design. As evidence that the Personal Attribute Inventory (PAI) is a self-concept scale, the present study required 265 college students to respond to it and to the Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire (16PF).
