Arellano, Eduardo Casillas; Martinez, Mario C.
Journal of Hispanic Higher Education, v4 n2 p84-101 Apr 2005
This study investigated the personal and organizational characteristics that facilitate collaborative efforts between U.S. and Mexican institutions of higher education (IHEs) along the U.S.-Mexico border. The importance of collaborative efforts between IHEs will only intensify as the economic, social, cultural, and political forces that shape the relationship between the United States and Mexico accelerates. The study also compared perceptions of U.S. participants regarding bilingualism and Mexican culture by ethnicity and proximity to the U.S.-Mexico border.
