The Association of Governing Boards has grown to 773 boards representing 1,250 institutions and 18,000 individual members. Its activities are reviewed, including the Board-Mentor Service, queries handled by the clearinghouse, publication of the Board Self-Study Guidelines and Criteria, and the Pocket Publication series. The report shows that membership and corporate support have risen substantially, the Information Clearinghouse has expanded services, board-mentor visits have risen, publications have sold well and new publications have been added, and the budget will be balanced. (MSE)
