Examined association between concern for health and adoption of elderly persons of a lowered winter nighttime thermostat setting. Findings from two surveys of elderly respondents (N=232) who maintained separate owner-occupied residences showed that health and thermal comfort were major reasons for nonadoption of this energy conservation measure.
