The Rich Get Richer and the Poor Write Proposals.
Mitiguy, Nancy
This manual is intended to help citizen groups set up their own on-the-job training activities, tailored to their own individual needs, issues, learning styles, and experiences. Specifically, it discusses the development of strategies and skills for fund raising for citizen groups. Chapters are written chronologically, from the first step in the fund-raising process through the last. Each chapter is then divided into a series of substeps that usually are required to accomplish a step. Topics discussed range from steps in the fund-raising process to actual sources of funding, for example, community organizations, churches, foundations, corporations, and the federal government. All exercises in the manual appear on single pages so they can be duplicated easily. (Author/LD)
