Discusses the problem of alienation of foreign scholars and workers in West Germany. The author concludes that traditional German racism has changed to national indifference. He proposes the formation of enclaves or circles in which foreigners of different nationalities can regularly come together with interested Germans. (AM)

Assessed the level of social alienation among foreign students in the United States. Foreign students (N=53) completed the social alienation subscale of the Deans Alienation Scale. Results indicated that social alienation among these students deviates significantly from normal expectation. (Author/RC)
