Werebe, Maria Jose Garcia – Adolescence, 1987
Examined how Parisian adolescents (N=403) perceived their relationships. Found that images in test drawings associated with the fantasies of attraction toward the other sex, along with the ambiguities which characterize adolescence, rather than the reality of their relationships, influenced the subjects' responses. Jones, Brett; Carroll, Marie – Adolescence, 1998
University students viewed a young woman in a socially oriented role-play that portrayed either a smoker or a nonsmoker. Smoker was rated more outgoing and sophisticated, less easy to manipulate, and less emotional than nonsmoker. No differences were found on other measures. Results are related to previous studies. Quarter, Jack – Adolescence, 1984
Uses a cross-sectional design to assess the reasoning of 65 children and adolescents in four age groups about kibbutz socio-political norms and issues. Responses to seven dilemmas are used to construct a developmental model of ideology labeled as kibbutzism, a variant of socialism circumscribed by the kibbutz. (JAC)

Onyehalu, Anthony S. – Adolescence, 1983
Contends that the apparent psychosocial inadequacies of contemporary adolescents stem from the widespread adult attitude of relegating them to the status of minors. Recommends that the dynamic principles of adult-adolescent relationships as well as child-rearing techniques in general, draw heavily from the provisions of Maslovian psychology. (JAC)

le Roux, Johann; Smith, Cheryl Sylvia – Adolescence, 1998
Research has shown that no treatment program designed for street children can succeed unless the community is prepared to respect, protect, and provide opportunities for them. Investigates why the general public, and those charged with enforcing the law, often treat street children with scorn and hostility. (Author/GCP)
