Equal Educational Opportunity Survey.
Dayton City Schools, OH.
To measure the attitudes of professional personnel in the Dayton Public Schools concerning factors related to equal educational opportunity, this survey instrument was devised which combines open-ended questions with more structured Likert-type scale statements and rank-order sections. The instrument was not field-tested before its administration. The questionnaire includes items in the following areas: basic educational needs of students, staff integration, Equal Educational Opportunity Task Force activites and functions, teacher needs and skills in the new situations and their self-actualization, pupils and their achievement, black-white interaction, student unrest, blocks to academic progress, key factors in academic achievement, and teacher background and characteristics.
