The Wilson Stress Profile for Teachers was administered to 10 public school teachers and 10 teachers of the severely handicapped in private schools to explore differences in stress. No differences existed in sources of stress or strategies for coping with stress; an inverse relationship between job satisfaction and stress levels existed. (JHZ)

Describes the background, procedure, analysis, and results of a survey of 348 K-12 teachers in western Minnesota to identify indicators of teacher burnout such as stress and job-related unhappiness among respondents.
