Results of a nationwide survey of 240 schools with graduate economics programs are reported. Most interesting finding was the explosive growth in the masters programs. The requirements for becoming a student for an advanced degree vary widely. Seventy-six percent of Ph.D. graduates seek jobs in higher education. (Author/RM)

Presents an evaluation of "Trade-offs," a series of television/film economic education programs for children ages 9 to 14. Results indicate that "Trade-offs" was effective in all classes, but students who viewed the films and whose teachers attended the inservice course made the greatest gains. (Author/KC)

This study began as an examination of the amount and scope of economics information taught in three high school history classes. Results revealed that the teachers' inflexible control of information caused students to become alienated from the classroom activities and cynical about the validity of any information conveyed there.
