Exploring the Removal of Prayer from Public Schools: A Qualitative Case Study

This was a qualitative case study focused on a display of understanding how reinstating prayer within public schools can offer an effect on students nationwide. A case study was utilized in this investigation, to explore and provide a clear understanding from the teachers' perceptions on how reinstating prayer can be incorporated into students' study. The results of this case study provided findings which primary focus on the interview with teachers in the Oklahoma City area. Many opinions and ideas surround the history of the 60s on why the removal of prayer. That idea has plagued the 21st century resulting in an increase in teen pregnancy, dropout, drugs, gangs, and suicide. The recommendation was to include the implementation of training teachers, parents and others in order to equip them with strategies on a way to offer techniques on reinstating prayer within public schools. The goal in the findings of this study was to aid teachers in improving morale, achievements, and success in the life of students. The research data and subsequent analyses were found to support the age-old decision and find a solution to the problem and purpose of future studies. The data also adjoin with other researchers to decrease the barriers of students being denied to encompass their rights to freedom of speech and expression in all public schools and districts regarding religion.
