Assessing the Value of E-Resources to York University Faculty Using the MINES for Libraries Protocol: An Evolving Landscape
Lupton, Aaron; Davidson, Catherine
Journal of Web Librarianship, v7 n4 p422-433 2013
This article describes how York University analyzed the results from its 2010-11 implementation of the Measuring the Impact of Networked Electronic Services for Libraries survey to measure value of investments in e-resources. The results were assessed through two variables: e-resources used by faculty when carrying out funded and non-funded research, and e-resources ranked by faculty as being important in their specific field. The article also includes a description of work currently underway to assess e-resource data through other lenses, such as effects on student success.
