Using behavioral descriptions of 60 supervisor activities, surveyed faculty and doctoral students to determine if a distinction exists among three supervisor roles (teacher, counselor, consultant). Results indicated a clear distinction between teacher and counselor roles with the consultant role overlapping the other two. (Author/JAC)
