A sample of American Counseling Association (ACA) members and the entire population of the ACA Legislative Institute attendants was investigated to determine if any variables were contributing to strong scores on the Lange Profession Advocacy Scale (LPAS), a Rasch analyzed instrument. A total of 563 cases had a valid measure score and were available for analysis. T-tests and ANOVAs were conducted and a final stepwise multiple regression revealed that Legislative Institute attendees, counselor educators, doctoral full-time students, doctoral students attending CACREP accredited programs, professional with more than ten years experience, and those belonging to 2 to 6 professional organizations endorse questions that lead to stronger advocacy scores; "F" (9, 515) 54.70, p less than 0.001. Based on these results it is suggested that advocacy trainings be tailored toward newer professionals who may not hold membership in counseling associations.
