This study examines the required levels of custodial services for schools in the County of Athabasca. Standard work units were described and applied to the tasks specified for each school. As a result, it was found that the level of custodial staffing is presently below requirements. Recommendations were set forth for increasing the custodial staff and for improving the overall efficiency of the custodial program. Finally, a number of alternate ways of providing custodial service were identified. (Author/MLF)
